About this deal

After about 20 minutes, the fruity tone gives way to the sweet brilliance of ambergris, coupled with the creamy-smoky of the guaiac wood. The brand's Invictus line, launched in 2013, has become a popular choice for men seeking a bold and masculine scent. Regardless, the scent it self is wonderful and should be added to one's collection for that reason only.

The glass bottle feels great, the plastic top though is cheap and the atomizer is a bit awkward and not very smooth to operate. Yet it’s the way that these notes mingle with each other and develop over time that really sets them apart. The opening at first was not my favorite and still isn't but after the dry down, I kept getting whiffs of it and it made me like it more and more. Just interesting as the notes aren’t too similar aside from maybe the notes sharing some similar characteristics but what really connects both is the way the lavender is presented in my opinion.

From the market point of view, there are several types of cologne’s users: those who little understand (or understand just the basics), seeking only a good scent, and the fragrance addicts, art scholars, who want to know the story behind each creation.

It’s definitely a people pleaser and has good longevity although I could say the same for projection. Popularity: 9/10 I have heard people discuss about this fragrance and I know a lot of people who own it. Working with a median projection and lasting very well, Invictus is beautiful inside and out, which makes it a real trophy to your collection. but after it's all but faded there's this herbal almost spicy sort of bitter thing going on that I love. However, for those seeking a more distinctive and enduring scent, Invictus may not be the ultimate victor.
