About this deal

The entire read is a magical experience filled with load of educational information and beyond cute in so many delightful ways! I've already reviewed all the individual publications contained in this book, so I'll keep this review short and sweet and focused more onhte format details herein. It was also very fun, because I took turns reading the poems with my neice, who sometimes put them to her own tunes. To mark Folio’s 75th anniversary, Michael Ende’s The Neverending Story is published as a magical new edition, beautifully illustrated by award-winning artist Marie-Alice Harel and bursting with exquisite design details. The book will serve as the perfect reminder of the time you spent with your mum in the garden, or when you played amongst the flowers and pretended you had your very own fairy friends.

The art is stunning and the poems are sweet and informative without feeling like you are just sitting learning a lesson about plants. In my opinion this would be a lovely book to read together with any young child, but is particularly interesting for girls of all ages.

If I'm being honest, some of the poems are better than others, but I love the whole concept so much and the art is always five stars in my book. We have the smaller book of flower fairies for Spring - this book is a big heavy book including all of the seasons, hedgerows, trees, meadows.

From Victorian Britain to the tech-savvy 20th century, the gentle enchantment and intimacy of the Flower Fairies ensure their enduring fascination and connection with the natural world. He worked in the Department of Botany at the Natural History Museum from 1965 to 2007 and remains a Scientific Associate at the Museum. On the other hand, if you don't have any kids in your life, nobody will blame you if you get it for yourself. My suspicions were further aroused when I went to add the poetry collection of Goodreads, which showed a much high page count (80-90 to a measly few) between volumes.

Learning all about the different types of flowers throughout each season with elegant poems by Cicely Mary Barker. Cicely Mary Barker was the illustrator who created the famous Flower Fairies; those ethereal smiling children with butterfly wings. The groundbreaking debut novel of Hugo Award-winning author Becky Chambers, one of the most imaginative voices in contemporary science fiction, is a truly galactic limited edition. The bloodthirsty biographies of the world’s most infamous pirates are reproduced in this Folio edition of Captain Charles Johnson’s renowned work, including original woodcut illustrations and a fascinating introduction by Margarette Lincoln. CMB's fairies are full of exuberance and joy (and, sometimes, the gentle pause of contemplation) love of nature and the wonder of childhood. Having all the stories compiled in one volume definitely remains handy, though the format wa a touch off putting at times.
